Ani DiFranco at Pollak Theatre at Monmouth University. 11/8/13

Spoken word artist Buddy Wakefield and singer songwriter Melissa Ferrick opened the show at the Pollak Theatre at Monmouth University. Ani DiFranco, self described "little folk singer" played a solid mix of new and old songs from her diverse discography of over twenty albums released since 1990. The Pollak theater is a small venue, which allowed Ani to clearly hear many fans yelling out requests. she tried to accomadate as many fan requests as possible while still sticking to her setlist. To quell the nonstop demand of song titles from shouting fans Ani DiFranco joke, "It's not any of those, same song writer though," as she began to play "You Had Time." Her perfect response seemed to do the trick. The entire audience stood and sand during both oncore songs as Ani closed her show with fan favorites "Both Hands" and "32 Flavors."
