Christine Martucci at The Stone Pony 6/7/14
Christine Martucci, a New Jersey based singer and song writer came out and rocked the stage from the start of the show. She opened with the song "Sin and Redemption" off of her album of the same name, and this woman CAN sing! Christine's voice is electrifiying and powerful, similar to Melissa Etheridge, but unique to herself with a commanding stage presence. With a full band, three back-up singers, and two dancers on stage the show was amazing and high energy from start to finish. There was a song that Christine Martucci dedicated to a friend that passed away, showing softer side. You could both see and feel the emotion in the song "Come Inside."
I bought her latest album "Sin and Redemption" on the way out and have not been able to stop listening to it, especially track #8 "Bad Things." If you have the chance to see Christine Martucci live, GO! You will NOT be dissapointed, there is a reason she has a following of loyal fans, called the "Tucci Train," and I'm ready to hop aboard.
