Brandi Carlile 5/23
Brandi Carlile put on an amazing show at the Palace Theatre in Albany last Saturday. It was the second show of the tour promoting her new album "Firewatcher's Daughter," released on March 3rd. (read our review.) Brandi played a perfect mix of her new songs mixed with older ones. She even did a stripped down song, using the older theatre's acoustics to her advantage when she and the band stepped in front of the sound system to perform acappella. The crowd sang and clapped along during the entire performance of "Keep Your Heart Young," and Brandi invited the audience to join in singing "Turpentine" assigning each section a melody to repeat until the entire theatre was singing together in unison. Do yourself a favor and catch her on this tour!
